brin nesryn (they/them) is a genderqueer/transmasc undergraduate in Sociology, B.S., and Women’s and Gender Studies, B.A., from the College of Charleston, South Carolina. They love animals, yoga, creating, literature, espresso, unlearning, chosen family, and queer kinship. brin is passionate about anti-oppression and anti-racist practices, artivism, disability justice, intersectional feminism, human rights, liberation, public policy, and somatics. Previously, they served honorably in the U.S. Air Force as a combat broadcast journalist and public affairs specialist in Turkey, Italy, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Now, brin is contracted part-time as a sociology research assistant at CofC. Ultimately, they are an enthusiastic candidate for graduate/doctoral programs in feminist studies, gender studies, sexology, sociology, transgender studies, and trauma-informed care.
