
brin nesryn (they/them) is a second-year graduate student in Critical Sexuality Studies at California Institute of Integral Studies. They are dedicated to anti-oppression work, disability justice and liberation praxes. brin researches interdisciplinary scholarship on the complexities of community, unlearning/relearning, being with/in/of nature and resistance through creative acts of expression. They actively critique colonial narratives, militarism and nationalism drawing from their lived experience as a disabled combat broadcast journalist, public affairs specialist (re: propagandist) and military sexual trauma survivor. brin engages with abolitionism, ecofeminist thought, disability literature, queer theory and trans/gender history.
